Individual Education Program

  • Students with disabilities eligible under IDEA are provided with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) that affords them access to a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment. IEPs are developed upon a student's eligibility for special education and are reviewed, at minimum, annually by the IEP team.  The IEP team should include but is not limited to:

    • Parent(s)
    • Regular Education Teacher
    • Special Education Teacher
    • Administrator
    • Student (as appropriate)

Warren County Public Schools utilizes Virginia IEP as their online platform for all special education documents. Families can review documents and complete required paperwork through the Virginia IEP system. For technical assistance in accessing Virginia IEP, please contact your child's special education case manager or the special education lead/chair at your child's school.
