WCPS Comment Regarding SHS Graduation

The administration of Warren County Public Schools and Skyline High School was made aware of a gesture following the class president's remarks during Skyline High School's graduation ceremony on Friday, May 16, 2025. The Skyline High School administration reviewed and approved the text, and only the text, of the speech. The student's action involving the gesture was of her own free will, was not rehearsed during the school's required graduation rehearsals, and is not condoned in any way by Warren County Public Schools or Skyline High School. Our graduation ceremony is a time to honor the achievements of all students. WCPS will be reviewing all graduation processes and procedures.
